flashing dashes on trip computer

I have a Renault Laguna 1995 with an on board computer,the problem i'm getting is the trip computer that gives me the milage range when i fill up has started to flash and now the computer doesn't tell me the amount of miles i can do before filling up, has anybody got a solution to this maybe very simple problem thanks in advance

My intention is not to be rude OK? ..but....Dont you have the vehicle hand book to read so you can solve this problem?

I do and all it says is contact your renault garage but like most things there is always a way round things without going through the expense of a garage cheers

Is your computer operated by a button on the end of your wiper stalk?

yes it is

ok....
+ whilst ignition is off, hold in the button at the end of the stalk
+ keep the button held in, turn ignition on
+ the cluster will now go into test mode
+ release the button
+ wait for the cluster to finish test mode then turn the ignition off.

Next time you start the car it should reset the computer for you.
You may have to do this procedure a few times but it does work!
