// [The Big Society] is seen by the public as an attempt to hide a “deeply damaging withdrawal of the state from its responsibilities to the most vulnerable. The big society, introduced in the run-up to the last election as a major political idea for the coming generation, has suffered from a lack of definition about the means by which such ideals can be realised. 'Big society’ rhetoric is all too often heard by many therefore as aspirational waffle designed to conceal a deeply damaging withdrawal of the state from its responsibilities to the most vulnerable.

Fine coming from the biggest waffler and peddler of fairy tales we have. The man is deluded and does not live in my world that is fore sure.

The Big Society, as an idea, is sound but whether or not it is implemented correctly is another matter.

And we don't see the Church dipping into its own coffers to help do we? Easy to spend someone else s money.
No.
Is it something on the lines of 'care in the community'? That resulted in some mentally ill people sleeping under bridges.
Not like you Gromit to quote the ramblings of such persons as the Archbishop of Canterbury.

You generally state that they should not get involved politics.

Or is it in order this time since you are both 'singing from the same hymn sheet'?
Isn't helping your neighbour a Christian primciple? i thought that that was the principle upon which the PM was acting . Only a cynic would think it was a politician justifying benefit cuts, which would not be cut if the money was available.
When an individual gets into financial trouble he loses everything.

When the bank gets into trouble we bail it out with taxpayers money and a wretched slogan 'we are all in it together'

We have all got our priorities wrong somehow!
