I,ve got a small window on my conservatory door that is cracked. Is there anywhere I can buy a new pane to fit in myself. Or will I have to get a double glazing company to do it

if its double glazed then its better to get a company in, as there are a few things to consider....if the conservatory is a few years old then the glazing units could be beaded on the outside and bonded into the frame. Then there's the size, this has to be precise as to allow expansion...if this is not right, the glass could crack at any time.....then there's the most important factor....if you buy one and break it fitting it, then you will have to buy another........if a company break it, its down to them.

Thanks marden 40. I did,nt know that. I will get someone in.
DH and I have replaced panes of single glazing in the past. The glass shop told us that DIYers buy 4 panes of glass for every job. The one that is too big, the one that is too small, the one that breaks, and the one they finally fit. With us he was exactly right!
