I have just gone to re-do my CV and wanted to check the address of a distance learning college which I did a course with and concerned to find loads of feeds saying that it's all fraudlent and the qualification isnt worth the paper it is written on!! I was just wondering if any of you guys have used the National Home Study College?

Apparently the ex-director is called Phillip August. People seem to have had money taken out of their accounts and havent heard from the college in ages whereas I dont remember any extra money being taken out and I have received my completion certificate?

Does this mean the qualification doesnt mean anything and I could get my £325 back?

Thanks for any help

If you've got your certificate, I'd let sleeping dogs lie - it's not as if you just bought the qualification (which is often advertised), you did the work. It's gone into administration but that doesn't mean that you haven't got a bona fide qualification.
What was the qualification- was it one only offered by this college?
Hi
The National Home Study College which was run by Phillip August was bogus and a fraud. The courses run by him are fake and unrecognized by any formal education authority in the UK. Therefore all the certificates, Diplomas or Higher Diplomas awarded by this scumbag are not worth the paper they're printed on.
He conned thousands of people out of money and has been arrested and charged with fraud. When taking any online courses from any education establishment, ensure they're officially recognized by Ofqual, are QCF accredited and the awards have been approved by the Government legislative body for higher education.
