Are there any Anita Brookner fans out there, willing to discuss her work?

I read part of one of hers in my Canadian Lit module I think it was, about a hotel? Or an I confused? Maybe in the Women writers module. Anyway it was a great character based story.

i've read hotel du lac and thouroughly enjoyed it. it was dramatised some years ago on tv starring anna massey and denholm elliott. it was very good.

Hi! Yes, i'd love to discuss Anita Brookner. I have been looking for an online forum for ages for this purpose. At the moment my favourite Brookner novel is A Misalliance- i think it's so funny. But i also like Falling Slowly, Visitors and A Friend from England. Brookner is a great writer- why does she get such bad press?
