My power supply turns off when i connect my power supply

When i hook up my power supply to my amp the amp turns on in protect mode for 2 second, then the power supply turns off. I have installed many car amps in my room and have never experienced this problem. The amp works for sure i just tested the amp on my car. I am so confused can someone help me? I want to power my amp ( amp= 4 channel PPI 4240 ) Everything looks to be setup properly i just cant seem to power the amp?? WHAT DO I DO>?<

At a guess, the amp wants to draw more current than the power supply can output. Check the specs.
