I hate driving through Darwen in Lancashire im sure its a place where n*b heads go to drive! Road etiquette is sadly lacking ! I really didnt know that pulling out of a side road when there is oncoming traffic gives them right of way!!!

Scarborough. Should be safe enough but low speeds, seaside town and not much traffic are more than offset by the old age and/or lack of driving skills of the residents. There are plenty of places abroad where there are mountain roads with sheer drops, no barriers, and lorry drivers who drive as though cars don't matter, but there you are aware of the dangers. Scarborough is bad however defensive your driving.

London drivers are very skilled and very safe. The biggest danger is drivers who are from out of town, who can't adjust to the necessary way of London driving and who don't know where they are going.
London Wall and surrounding areas. I always seem to get sent there mid day which is about the worst time you could want to be there and my satnav can't cope with all the high rises.
Saudi Arabia , there is NO ROAD LAW at all !
Saudi operates under Sharia law and as Mohammed did not think to ask Allah if it was OK to drive your 5 litre Chevrolet at 100mph on the wrong side of a dual carriage way at night with no lights , it is not actually illegal ! You can get a driving licence at age 17 (as long as you are male , females can not drive) just by sending off for it , there is no driving test either !
I drove over 250,000 Km in Saudi over 3 years in a Chevrolet pick up truck , it was all for work , I was the only person in the whole department that was prepared to drive. In the entire time I did not have even a scratched bumper !
Looks like Eddie's right

must make a list of places to avoid lol !
North East Thailand on a motorbike.
Hi tishtash, was born in that very place, and lived there until I was 20.You are absolutely right the place was full of n*b heads then , so I dread to think what it is like now. Had a Lambretta scooter at the timeand was pulled 3 times for speeding-- oh get real on a scooter?
Driving round La Periferique in ( or just outside) Paris on a Friday at 5:30 is not for the faint hearted.
Anywhere in Italy.............they're all mad and I have never seen so many dented cars on the road.
The only way to drive in London is to pretend you are driving a black cab and just go for it - other drivers expect you to and if you hesitate then you are in big trouble. Malta I found ok - if you could avoid the potholes.
^^ You should try Sri Lanka - or Cairo - or Mombassa.
Sorry, my last was to Craft. I agree with you Lankeela. I drive in London often - and you do have to 'go for it'. You'd never get anywhere otherwise.
I haven`t driven there myself (but have been driven). India. Without a doubt. There are only two ways to cope with being driven in India a) don`t sit in the front seat and b) put your hand in front of your face and just don`t look!
You got it in one, 237SJ. ;o)
The strange thing is Naomi, they never seem to collide. They always just miss each other by inches.
Ha ha! I know! Funny thing is though, all the cars are bashed up.
They`re always those funny yellow and black taxis and the drivers are always barefoot.
OP, It has to be Liverpool, you learn pretty darn fast to keep your head down whilst wearing a Man United shirt.
Saudi also has no insurance law , you do not need insurance !
Some interpretations of the Qumran have it that insurance is actually illegal!
Muslims believe that Allah has a book with a page for every person on Earth. On your page is your life history so haveing insurance is like trying to insure against Allah's will. We were warned never to take a Taxi as if the taxi crashes it is your fault ! This is because the taxi was in the place where it had the accident because you asked the driver to drive there! so it is your fault !
We were also told never to give first aid or try to help crash victims ,again if the person dies anyway it is your fault for interfering with the will of Allah !
