I have a very modern house, with an open fireplace, I am looking for an equally modern Fireside Set. After looking high and low Ive drawn a blank, most are black and quite old fashioned, ebay don't seem to have a large selection either, has anybody come across any gorgeous sets they can point me in the direction of.

If you can find a shop which sells gas fires, fireplaces and the like, you will usually find that there is a selection of fireside furniture including Fireside sets, fireguards etc. Failing that an antique/second hand shop might have what you want,I agree they are a bit thin on the ground.
B&Q do a few styly modern type companion sets for about 45 - 50 per set (Galahad, Lancelot & Premium Portcullis are the models I've seen - on their web site, go to Fires/Fireside Accessories/Companion Sets). Also SNH Trade Centre in Kent do a modern one called The Teepee for 51 - check out their web site. Simply Fires in the Midlands also have some modern ones. Failing that, you could get them hand made (blacksmiths) but that would obviously be a bit more expensive.
