electronic vermin control

My Parents have got mice in their loft (possibly even rats), i have caught a couple of mice in traps, and they keep taking the bait i leave, but i have seen an electricical vermin control unit in a diy store and wondered if anyone else had used one and whether they worked or not ?

I've not actually tried these myself but I've not heard good reports.

I don't think people like Rentokill use them so that should tell you something

I know a couple of shops which started using them but after a few months stopped again, so I suppose that they found them ineffective.
