keyboard loudspeaker mute on/off button not working.

i have a toshiba satellite l350 laptop running vista.at the top of the keyboard are the dvd control pushbuttons play/stop/fast forward etc.the mute on/off button is part of this switch layout & has stopped working.any ideas how to resolve would be appreciated.

many thanks.downloade hotkey files but no luck.error message incompatable with my laptop.

yes indeed.the only query i can't resolve is whether my laptop runs 32 or 64 bit vista.i tried both to no avail.i downloaded both hotkey files listed no luck though.
