I think this is my last question. A show that used to be on Sat night. I reckon it was before Dr Quinn: Medicine Woman. It was about a guy who travelled around helping people. One episode I think he helped a small african village from an invasion of ants and i've vivid memories of the ants floating across the river on bits of leaves. He was American (what else would he be) and looked a bit like the guy from V ( again an assumption) It was on for 45mins or an hour long

mcguiver?
I faintly remember it, now I can't remember the name. So I will be interested to know. Although Doc Holiday keeps coming to mind.

It was Macgyver. Wow, the memories. I think it had Teri Hatcher in too.

I can only think of "Highway to Heaven" starring Michael Landon (Little House on the Prairie) as a probationary angel sent back to earth and teams up with an ex-cop to help people.

MacGyver, was about the adventures of a secret agent armed with almost infinite scientific resourcefulness, he could make a device out of anything. Then of course you had Manimal....

wot about Highway to heaven. See ~
