We're having turkey crown (by popular demand), smoked ham, roasted vegetables, etc.
Apple pie, lemon cheesecake, traditional trifle - all the oldies that the family love.
And an egg treasure hunt for the children.

Doves, rabbits and hare and lamb were traditionally eaten before Easter was hijacked by Christians.

It appears my local butcher is clean out of doves :(

Normal Sunday for me.
Me too.
Haven't thought about it. My mum will probably be cooking so I'll got round to my parents.
Normal sunday roast.
I have no idea although its usually traditional like Christmas dinner. Only the second time of the year that most of the family gathers together at our Mums. I'm probably the only guarantee she has of who'll turn up... chance of a proper cooked free meal...yes.

Box of Chocolates and beer/wine on stand by ready to travel.
There's no traditional Easter food in our house.

Having watched last nights CDWM a tuna tartare might feature though.
Absolutely no idea!
How do I know what the best buy will be in a week's time?
I missed Christmas because I was ill so my daughter-in-law is cooking a Christmas dinner and I am going there for Easter. I am very fortunate to have such a lovely daughter-in-law. I'm looking forward to it.
I will probably have a turkey or turkey crown with all the trimmings like christmas!!!!
Probably chicken and salad, I haven't actually thought that far ahead as we don't exactly celebrate Easter due to being an atheist/agnostic household. We generally take the pi$$ and call it "Zombie Jebus Day".
How times change Daffy - back in't day you would have been excommunicated for such a description.
PS a saw a lovely big hare bounding about yesterday. Do they taste different from rabbit?
Mosaic, >>>PS a saw a lovely big hare bounding about yesterday. Do they taste different from rabbit? <<<

Yes they taste a lot more gamey. follow Brian Plummer's method of cooking to get it real tender.

"Place a large axe head in the water with your hare, when the axe head becomes tender your hare will take another 20 minutes"

Works a treat :))
normal sunday lunch, I wont be buying eggs either
We don't eat anything special at Easter, just normal food depending on the weather. I will plant potatoes on Friday just out of tradition, but otherwise we just enjoy the time off work and hope its sunny.
