I'm trying to identify a few new problems. It may be associated with Firefox. When I open Answerbank a small green circle keeps rotating in the top left of a white screen and takes up to two minutes to load and open Answerbank. Also when I click on a Latest Thread it takes ages to open the page. AVG and Malwarebytes finding nothing wrong. Any ideas what could causing this? Thank you.

Does this happen at all times of the day?
Mine is slightly different (not really a problem). When I load an AB page the green circle keeps rotating even after the page is loaded. The only way I can stop this is by clicking on the cross in the red box to the right of the address bar which stops it turning and brings up the AB mini icon in the tab. This also happens with SAB but nothing else.

Yes. And when I click on the Firefox icon on my desktop to open the Internet, a white screen appears and the small green circle rotates for about two minutes before opening my Google homepage.

mike11111 - sorry to say, but my current problems started like that. Coincidentally when I click on the alternative browser, Google Chrome, it now tells me that it cannot locate the files, so reinstall the program.

Things are getting worse. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr
I honestly don't think that FF is the cause of your problem....More likely to be AVG; from my past experiences. I had all sorts of similar problems when I was using the free edition of AVG.

Personally, I would get 'shot-of' AVG and use what most of the Techie AB members use....MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) which is a free download with automatic up-dates.

Download Firefox again but unclick Add ons & Babylon.

Took your advice Ron and removed AVG. Fingers crossed!

Tamborine - reinstalled Firefox and things seem to have stabilised. Everything crossed!!
