Hi tinks
What I've done many times is to pack the cases, go to my local travel agent and say I want a holiday in the sun and can go immediately.
If you are not bothered where you go there are still bargains to be had.
The last time I did this was for me and two of the kids. We ended up in a gorgeous apartment in Rhodes for the grand sum (and this is for all three of us) of £89
Over the years I've had cheapie hols in Spain, Minorca, Majorca and Portugal by doing that.
It's 5 or 6 years since I last did it, but I never paid more than £100 for us
Some were that day, some were the next day.
Another bargain I got was a flight to Los Angeles. I decided I wanted to go see my friend who lives there. Again, I packed a case and was on a flight that same night for around £150 xx
Guys, can I ask you a question? With these cheap holiday sites are they mostly legit and good quality breaks or is it a case of you get what you pay for? Also, are there a lot of hidden extras or are they upfront with their prices?
I've only been on 4 foreign hols and each time used Co-Op travel and have been happy with them but would like to try and use one of these sites if I thought I wouldn't be disappointed.
flob - I have used them before, they offer the same hotels etc as the main agents but just charge less - sometimes you don't get deals such as low deposits etc but otherwise the holidays are the same and they do offer extras, such as airport parking and transfers etc but you don't have to take them. You can shop around if you want whereas when you buy a package from a holiday company then often you have to pay for the everything regardless of whether you need it or want it.
