Have a challenging couple of weeks and I have had to attend Doctors for various things which meant taking a bit of time off work. Last Saturday went in to work to catch up in my own time and I completely forgot I had a hair appointment. Anyway hubby apologised to her and I meant to phone her this week but after various hospital and doctors appointments and other vatious things this week it went out of my head again. Wee hairdresser has text me today and torn a strip off me. I have apologised to her and offered to pay for missed appointment but she kept texting me saying really hurtful things to me. Now I am a 50 year professional woman but I am really upset about it all and don@t know what to do now?

and you pay her?
Totally unprofessional of her, switch hairdressers and don't look back. Can't believe the cheek of her tbh!!!!
Did you end up more than friend, rather than a client?
You have apologised and you have offered to pay for her time. She sounds like an ass - ignore her and find a new hairdresser.
You could understand her being a bit miffed for time wasted when she could have been doing someone else's hair but offering to pay for the missed appointment should have more than pleased her. She sounds like a right cow. There's plenty of hairdressers out there who would love your business now.
I should think the OP has got the message by now guys;-)
I wouldn't want my hair cut by someone that easily riled...
Yes totally out of order on her part, but after 18 years maybe they had built a bit of a relationship, still she should have not acted like that
your hairdresser sounds slightly unhinged..
Agree with Zhukov, I wouldn't trust her with a pair of scissors in her hands

Get a much better cut elsewhere and make a point of going by her shop regularly so she can see it ;) Seriously, she has no right to do that. It's rude and extremely unprofessional, and unless she has a policy of charging for customers not showing, she shouldn't even have commented on you not turning up. Cheeky mare!
Change your hairdresser - pronto! She's the one working to earn the money so it's her loss!
She needs to grow up, she could have text you to see if you were ok instead, you missed the appointments, must have been a valid reason of course, she should not have torn strips off you, sack the moo moo, and forget about her. Chin up chick, and don't let people like her upset you.
this woman sounds vv unprofessional, not like you'd forgotten for no reason,as been said,go elsewhere.what goes around comes around

Thank you for all taking the time to reply. I feel better this morning about the whole sorry episode. I am going to take all your advice and find someone else as I do not feel that I can just forget the tone and content of her texts yesterday. Thank you for your support :)
