I have just taxed my car online as I forgot to tax it today. Is it legal for me to drive it before the disc arrives?

Yes. You've paid for it and it will be shown on the DVLA computer. You won't "ping" any ANPR machines. As soon as it comes it must be dispayed though.

Yes just to confirm you have 5 days.I ordered mine on Monday in a panic then read the form! Mine still isn't here!
Just watch where you park - some over zealous ****s like nothing better than sticking a ticket on for 'not displaying'. You should then be able to get it overturned, but it is a faff.
There is a 'note' on the reminder you would have received from DVLA explaining that you have 5 days grace as long as you tax vehicle before midnight tonight
