Spell checker in Windows Live Mail

This was working just fine but has suddenly become greyed out on the toolbar. I swear I haven't changed anything. Can anyone help?

You could check the spelling options....Click the blue button top left and select options then mail..then on the spelling tab....see what it checked for the various options...otherwise sorry!

Yeah, I did that - its checked. Can't work out whats wrong. Thanks anyway.

..mmm...well I just unchecked all 4 boxes on that spelling tab and guess what?...mine greyed out as expected...I rechecked all 4 boxes and it "ungreyed".

Try that again and don't forget to APPLY ....
