Just watched this, seems to be mostly a US thing. Surely this is abuse?

But he makes her dependant, by preying on her weakness?

I can't say really. I physically cannot eat too much. If I did, I'd be sick.

It appears to be a form of control but the kind of control the 'victim' enjoys.

I watched it last night, what a creep that woman's husband is. Even after having a gastric band,he brought take-away food in. I thought after having a gastric band, you could only eat tiny portions. He was building a house with larger doorways, just in case she got fat again (with a little help from him).
