How to remove oil stain from pvc windowsill

Clove oil was spilled on my bathroom white pvc windowsill. It has left a fair sized stain. Tried bleaching, but without success, so am now left with a brown stain which looks bad. Any suggestions how I can get back to white please?

you can't volatile essential oils melt and combine with the plastic... if it isnt too deep try sanding it away then polishing with something like jif cream or toothpaste buffing well at the end

Shame, although I suspected there wasn't going to be a simple solution. Thanks rowan for your suggestion, I'll give your idea a go. Fingers crossed!
