When I go around a corner and slam on my brakes my car loses all power and shuts down. What is wrong?

It depends on the car. My MB SLK has recently had a fault with a Lateral Accelartion Sensor, which MB advised me cut power to the engine if I took a corner too fast. Hence stopping the car sliding sideways. But I would presume depending on the fault with a sensor of this kind (or for that matter any kind of sensor) could be attributed to total power loss on corners. Get a qualified mechanic to have a look. Its got to be worth the money to correct a problem of this kind........ Good luck.......
