I was wondering if anyone knows whether insurance companies take into account no claims bonus discounts for immigrating applicants ?

I'm emigrating to Oz soon & have just had the nasty realisation that I may lose all my no claims !

Hah Hah, you'll be lucky if they accept your driving licence let alone your no-claims bonus.

Have a read here for some info on that subject.

Thanks for that piece of really useful information.

You, however, are wrong .

Ah...maybe not that wrong. Apologies.

Thanks for the info.

I would ask my insurance company for a letter that stated how long you have been insured with that company and any claims history. It won't cost you anything and just maybe some Aussy Insurance company may give you an introductory discount.
Lot easier to take it with you, than try and get a letter once you are there.
