Is your local anything like the Rovers Return? Just wondered, everyone just
pops through the back to talk about their problems. They do the same in
Emmerdale. Has your bub got an agony aunt. Do they help?

I cannot imagine the extremely fat, heavily tattooed, landlord of my local (which I do not frequent) being an agony aunt.

never judge someone by their looks, craft. He sounds a real dish.....
it must be nice having such a friendly pub to just pop into like that..
plus, theyre lucky they can afford to drink in there so often! lol
If TV soaps were to be believed then all the patrons, bar those drinking soft drinks, have serious alcohol abuse problems.
Does anybody live in a small street of terraced houses that has seen 103 deaths, including 14 murders, countless marriages, divorces and even a tram crash in the last 32 years??
No wonder they're in the boozer every night :-S
Yes...

It's changed a bit now but there was a time that you really shouldn't speak if you weren't Irish...

Also...don't speak if you're Dublin.
Have you noticed that nobody eats in the pub now Betty has died? Are sandwiches a bit too sophisticated, or are they all sneaking off to the Bistro?
I fail to see why Ken and Dreary don't kick up a fuss every time a pub patron uses their dining room to do their onesies and twosies! Perhaps they don't notice, what with watching their daughter's fabulous acting skills and all.
Er - what are onesies and twosies?
Lol - the pub's toilets are in Ken and Deidre's house.
No, sorry. You've lost me there. Don't get that one at all.
The Rovers and Ken's house are separated by a wall. When in the Rovers, people open doors in this wall to go to the toilets......this would place them in K&D's back sitting room.
The subject of the loos being in Ken and Deidre's house has been raised mahy times on various fan forums, and i am sure i have seen an architecural drawing that shows that in fact they are not - but i may have dreamed that when i was dreaming that Santa granted my wish and when I found the two stockings i had hung up Christmas Eve, Carla was wearing them on Christmas morning!

First fantasy of 2012 ... I thank yeaou!!!!!
Oh Kef....number one number two....and as for the toilets in Ken's house...it's amazing how they did that lol...wonder if they just turn a blind eye lol.
Not any more, they're not after this was pointed out a number of years ago ...
There is a passage between the Rovers and No.1 that was added to the 1982 set to explain that away
The pub is next to Ken's house. The pub door is at the adjoining wall with Ken's but the toilets are to the right of the door. There is no space in the pub for the toilets to be there, we are just supposed to accept that they are.
Anything is possible in soapland lol
Blimey, I never even bother to work out whose house is next to where! You lot are scarily observant!
