Why is my avatar black?

I don't know if it's just my computer but i got a cute picture of a german shepherd and a golden retriever under a bed and it looks like my avatar is all black why?

Was it an animated picture? If it was you need to choose a different one. Animations don't work on AB.

it wasn't a animated picture it doesnt even look like its there but on my profile its all black!

If it is still the same after 5pm post on the relevant thread in Editors Blog section. Answerbank updates avatar changes on the hour.

My avatar changed all by itself today. It went from a Christmas teapot to an orange swirl. I'd been tango'd all very odd.
