I know.. my life, the excitement never stops!

I'm thinking of buying a decent set of pans. I seem to buy a medium-priced set each year as they start to look shabby or the non-stick coating looks ropey (no metal utensils used!).

I currently have a halogen (glass) hob, but hopefully would like to end up with a gas hob at some stage.

I'm not rich but will pay for some good quality stuff.

any suggestions/recommendations/warnings, please?
