I've had flu twice in my life and could not get out of bed The symptoms were more in my joints and muscles than cold related Pain killers - what ever you usually take - and plenty of fluids and bed rest. If you have any underlying conditions then be sure to call a dr if you get worse. Good luck stay warm and get well soon
Sounds like what me and my family had a few weeks ago. It turned out to be Norovirus.
Tinks, if you have flu you won't want to get out of bed - I've had it twice in my life and don't want it again.

Did you get your flu jab when offered, and if not, why not? If you did, and it IS flu, it should only be mild....

Beechams All in One is highly recommended by me and OH, but you mustn't take paracetamol with it, it's already got a full dose in it.
From your previous post I think you had the winter vomiting bug (as did I and partner). Once the the S&D subsides then fever and aching joints followed for both of us for the next two days at least. I reckon this is what you're feeling.
it takes about a week to recover from the norovirus once the vomitting and diarrhoea ceases, you will feel tired, achey and rundown. plenty of rest and light food.
