I have never heard of this, has a doctor prescribed them ritalin?
Question Author
no, they buy them illegally online. But ADHD Sufferers get them on prescription, and the career woman take them as a adrenaline pumping drug to get them through a days work etc illegally.
how very stupid of these women, ritalin is a powerful drug that does more harm than good IMO, taking it to give you an adrenaline kick is asking for trouble!
Here's the article - I certainly wouldn't try it. It's not what the drug was intended for, and a) you might get hooked on it and b) it gives false impressions of your capacity, and c) you don't know what it might do, long term http://www.fabulousma...nd-professionals.html
thats assuming it is ritalin they are receiving in the post, bought off the internet it could be anything..
Question Author
i want some, im not doing great at the moment at work or home.
Question Author
i know its stupid to take such things, but pressures at work can sometimes push you to the edge, i feel for these women.
you would be better without it, you can solve your problems without popping pills
Has ADHD been proven conclusively yet ?
You don't want some, rozia - have you read that article about the damage it does to your body, and how addictive it is? Get more sleep, eat healthily, don't drink those energy drinks - they are really addictive. You DON'T want drugs which are not licensed for non-prescription use - and you have no idea what might be in illegal drugs bought off the internet. You might just be buying talcum powder tablets.
thats nothing to do with the question teddy boy

I have two children and trying for another, this would be stupid of me to do, and i wouldn't, i feel it would be too selfish, and not a good example to my children.
especially if you had severe side effects. with children to think about its certainly not worth the risk is it?
How would you feel in future years, if your children did it? Don't even go there.
Question Author
I'd be devastated if my children took anything like this....i feel for people that go to extremes though, like i said before, society and current climate pressures people to the brink
..only if those people want to be in jobs like the one in the article, though. I'm pressured enough in my day job, but there is no way I'd want to take anything to help me through the day.
My partner's son takes it to calm him down during school hours.

He has autism and ADHD.

I thought it was more calming than stimulative.
It is calming to genuine ADHD sufferers NoM, it has the opposite effect on anyone who doesn't have the condition. It is amphetamine based.
