Last one but what a great crossword, moments of anguish, moments of sheer pleasure and hours of torture. Puts the telegraph (all over in 3 minutes!) to shame!

6d Time to see rising star (4) _ E _ A

Any help greatly appreciated.

Vega
Not convinced you have done the Telegraph cryptic crossword today in three minutes, sslinks but the answer you need is VEGA - V (for Vide - latin - see) and EGA (time rising) gives you the first magnitude star Lyrae ie VEGA.
Yes, I had vega, but still stuck on 3d - regular nineties event and 10a its tight round top and bottom - no question, so can you help please
re 3d & 10a - I was on the wrong track with these on Saturday. I had pencilled in Half Time, and Clique, and had -i-l for another clue. On Sunday morning everything became clear: Heat Wave, Basque (and Ball)
It was an absolutely brilliant crossword and it took us hours and hours but the clues were sooo good.

Thanks to all for the answer.

OK Biley, you rumbled me not three minutes but I can't remember the last time that it took more than 10 minutes. And I was merely suggesting the Times is getting harder but that for me (and others) this weekend was a dream crossword - Hard enough to keep you thinking and easy enough to keep you going!
