My office is essentially a glorified shed and although we have an air con unit that does heating too, it's only really effective in my part of the office if it's left on overnight. Since it has been switched off since Friday it is chuffing freezing in here today! I am thinking of taking my work and sitting on the bench outside to warm up.

Just thought I'd share as it wouldn't be a normal Monday (or any day really) without a moan about something.

You'll have to get one of those plug in heaters.

Put a thermometer on the wall...take pictures of it and change the computers screen savers :-)

have a nice hot beefy drink...marmite or bovril...that will warm you up..

I wouldn't say its cold here in Devon but it is very windy, I've just been up the road to our secret garden to find our gazebo halfway across an adjoining field.

Mind you, we did put a heater on for an hour last night!

Thats a nice thing about working in a care home, if anything it is too hot but never cold :)

I'm at home today and I'm cold so I've switched the heating on. Off out later shopping.

I've wacked the heater under my desk on full do I have nice warm legs but my waist up is a little chilli still. Never mind, just an excuse to spend the morning drinking hot chocolate.

Nice idea Ummmm, sadly they take their laptops with them when they are out. Not that they'd care. When it snows the pipes freeze up so I can turn any taps on or flush the loo. They just tell me to go and buy some bottled water and get on with it. ho hum.

Lol, I might try when they come in.

One of the younger lads has just shown up to do some work in the yard. Think I might send him for bacon butties.
