Keeping animals...

I was just having a conversation with my Mum, and it got me wondering.

She asked what I'd like for Christmas. I said an animal... though definitely not a dog or a cat.

You know how you hear about people keeping "exotic" animals, I was just wondering how they get them in the first place?

I'm thinking monkey... (though I do have three other choices)

Ferrets do stink....

They are friendly though....

So sorry flip I was obviously unaware of your previous attempts to adopt, I was thinking that anyone who has love to spare for a pet may want to direct that love to little humans.

No, Ron, I haven't actually attempted to adopt, I just looked into fostering. I didn't actually make any concrete plans, just inquired if you like.

The male (Hob)ferret can emit a certain odour if he isn't kept clean. Its often down to the diet.

I'm wondering what's wrong with a dog or a cat.....far less likely to bite...unlike flips other choices.

Don't get animals on a whim...you need to find out all the pro's and cons before deciding...and having a pet bought as a present for Xmas isn't always a good idea imo. Wait until new year and if you're serious (I hope you're not)....think it through then. Always think of the animals in every situation....please...
