What tastes, smells, colours, evoke a childhood memory for you?

I taste Ready Brek whenever I hear Those Were The Days My Friend (Mary Hopkins).
The smell of hot tarmac brings back a memory of a pair of new shoes I had when I was about 7.
The film Hans Christian Anderson (Danny Kaye) reminds me of the taste of 'all-butter' shortbread.

Alid - Virol, I loved it, I used to pretend I hadn't had my dose so I could have another one.

I still remember the smell of the gas the dentist used to use.....
Just the mention of the school dentist fills me with fear boxy, the smell of that rubber mask. I absolutely loved Virol, would have eaten the whole jar if I could.
The smell of wax furnituure pollish reminds me of my nan, as does coal fires. Saddle soap reminds me of working for about 8 hours for a free half an hour ride (mind you I did get 4 blackjacks as well, yummy), and I was about 13!!!
Izal toilet paper
The smell of carbolic soap reminds me of my school days.
Cigarettes and stale beer- my father, burnt toast and a perfume you still occasionally get on someone but not very often-1970's sweet and sickly- my mother. Fresh apples and home baked bread and cakes- my grandmother- I can't remember her, not really her but just that it was her. Hot tarmac- the summer I 'borrowed' a lad's chopper bike out of his shed because he'd gone to England for the summer- rainey streets at night- my best friend getting killed. Lumiere perfume- my ex wife when we first met.
