hi all ,i am thinking of buying my otherhalf a kindle for xmas can anyone tell me how they work ,and how to download the books to them .i have been told all you do is to regester it to the comp ,i that it many thanks in advance

They are great esp if he reads a lot and very easy to use, assuming that you have wifi in the house (or wherever)......get it with the cover and perhaps the little light if he wants to read while you try to get to sleep!

I don't need to be anywhere near a computer. I have a 3G kindle and can download books from practically anywhere in the world. I love it. Well worth the extra money. If you're stuck in a long traffic jam, you'll never be bored again! :o)
