I want to say Rah! for Cotton Traders. OH ordered something from them on Sunday afternoon (yes, Sunday), we had an email on Sunday night to say it had been despatched, and the package arrived by van at 10.30 on Monday morning. We are sooo impressed!

they are an excellent company. we have bought stuff from them, and good quality.
Well......I'm not impressed .
I ordered a faux fur coat from them and it's now a four week wait after them saying it was in stock when I ordered it .I'll hang on because I so want the coat but if it doesn't turn up within the said time I'll cancel it .

Oh, that's not so good, shaney.... I am impressed because it's the first time we've ordered direct from them, I've never had anything delivered so quickly.
usually excellent and the stuff is good quality...
Fran Cotton was that famous rugby player.
which one?
now doing an inquiry into England's miserable performance at the rugby world cup; perhaps he's too busy with that to attend to shaneystar's faux fur.
I like their stuff for the most part. What I don't like is that you have to pay the postage if you return it, unless you order a replacement.
LL, i agree about the postage, think that is a bit of a swizz
That is what the law states though - goods bought on the internet (or by mail or phone) and returned within the specified must be refunded in full, except for the return postage (unless the seller states that return postage will be refunded too).

The way I see it it is fair. I go to town pay the petrol and parking, go shopping, get home, item is faulty or I change my mind. Schlep back in to town to return it, pay petrol and parking and get my refund. No travel costs are refunded though.
I buy loads from them. What I like is that when you have to send something back because it's too big/too small, they're really quick at getting your money back into your bank and letting you know what's happening.

You'll often find as well, Lottie, that if you've made a couple of purchases, they'll send you a special offer offering you free p&p off your next order, so it all evens out.
saxy, i think they are a good company.
I order loads from them Saxy. In fact I am one of their priority customers!! (which means I get the catalogues in advance and can buy sales items quicker), but they made me pay for my one return!! I shall complain!!!! ;o)

(I do like their stuff though - have bought a really nice snug coat from them this year at £30 reduced from £60)
Good for them, and you. I thought that we were not supposed to advertise things on here but will turn a blind eye to this if I helps us all out.

Saxy, we got that - free postage on our next order - mind you, I think we have to order again in 14 days, not that likely :-(
I used Isme recently on two occasions. They too delivered the next day - they guarantee it. Free returns as well. Was very impressed. Marks and Spencer are good as well, although delivery takes a couple of days. Money is reimbursed for returns very speedily.
We are not really advertising though because we are not staff of Cotton Traders. We are just giving reviews. No bans on that on AB.

I agree with Lottie, JB - we're not promoting our own businesses (that's not allowed). This is the opposite thread to people saying what a bad time they have with companies from time to time!
I have not ordered anything recently but in the past their delivery etc has been good.
