My dad told me a saying when I was younger, and I would love to know if anyone else has heard it before, or knows anything about it - it goes as follows :
I saw it thunder, and heard it lightning, and ran down't field wi't fork in me back!
Any ideas anyone?

I am Yorkshire born and bred and I have never heard that saying

I too am Yorkshire born and bred and have never heard of it.
However, Yorkshire is a pretty big area...
