Do any of you remember Wagon Wheels? I had one for the first time in lots of years and couldn't believe how small they are now! Have they changed in size or have my hands just got much larger?

I used to sell them when I ran my first Public House in 1956. If my memory serves me right , they were about 5 inches in diameter and cost about one old penny each, They were a meal on there own. No I don't think your hands have got larger , the wheels have have worn away over the years. Enjoy them
I remember them with pleasure, didn't know they still sold them, if you like stuff from the past, www.aquarterof.co.uk is the place to look.
They always seemed to be a bit stale - then I worked for Burtons (Gold Medal) Biscuits for a couple of years - they are supposed to be like that.

Oh yes they were huge, HappyFace, but wasn't everything when we were tiddlers?

The Wagon Wheels I used to have (as a special treat!) were made by Westons and came with the bread man who delivered twice a week. My favourite was butterscotch - bet no one remembers this flavour.

they did used to be bigger, also the choc coating was thicker and better chocolate, at least they have now put the jam back!

"Wagon wheels, they're a treat for mee hee

the biggest biscuit you ever did see

marshmallow filled

they taste so grand

the biscuit thrill to beat the band!"

((yeee ha!))

I remember them as a child, and I remember them being fairly grim. My last encounter was at Christmas Panto at the Theatre Royal in York, where they are used by Berwick Kyler as missiles to be hurled at the audience.

Sorry, Kaler.

I had a wagon wheel recently and it didn't have any jam in it.I felt ripped off. Apparently I had bought the wrong packet!
