Has anyone else noticed the animosity between the two groups yet? So far seen ideas ranging from stocks and bootcamps to hanging and murder for young teen rioters and this isn't just inclusive of the rioters as at other times the generalization of "chav" is usually spat out by an older generation individual at "Todays youth" the young are not much better with no respect, name calling which I can't even repeat here and the end result is them "throwing granny" into a care home at the first point they can. Why is there so much anger/hatred/animosity towards each other? We all were young once and most of us will become old but many of us seem to forget this and become extremely detatched with this fact. Do we need to reeducate the young about respect and do we need to reeducate the elders that not all youths are strange violent animals?

D97 IMO I think it's more that the young THINK they know everything and they don't. Generation gap continues to thrive.
well its too bloody late for that innit. were you a ginger baby ?
i'll put the stones back then

sqad, I think that's it, a simple case of maths, you take 10 bad eggs out of 100, the 90 good eggs have 2 kids each, the 10 bad eggs have 4 kids each, each brings them up with the levels of respect with which they were brought up, all of a sudden the ratio's shifting quickly, given that one might expect the bad eggs to throw out the next batch a little sooner than your average good egg.. the ratio shifts quicker.
That's a very simplistic way of looking at it but I think it's a genuine factor.. a spiral of scum, as it were.
Which is worse though ummmmmm <smile>
I wasn't Ankou.....but I know quite a few that were. Surprisingly they turned out quite well :-)
True daisya.
I'm not sure what you mean daisy?

Ankou having a banter with an adult about what should be done to said adult, for her grandad not having his bramley apple pies...

Or people having banter about shooting babies at birth?
Well I will have to leave as gardening calls unfortunately (might have to put my hoodie on due to the weather). Rather spend my time here with aimiable folk who love to banter. Speak later guys miss you already...x.
so ummm, no respect and a liar too.

there is no recorded evidence of any ginger babies 'turning out well'. even if you do use pauls mysterious cake mix recipe using a 100 bad eggs.
pa___ula....you are absolutely correct and well put.

However the eggs were laid 50 years ago rather than 20years in my opinion.

However, i like your analogy.
Lol....I have no witty come back to that but it made me laugh :-)
Apart from the late Tory MP, Sir Keith Joseph, who were the principle proponents of eugenics?
Should that be 'principal'? ^^^
It's fair to say you have a better knowledge of the last 50 years than I do sqad so I'll certainly won't argue that!
pa_ula....cheeky boy;-)
Eugenics ?

Hmm.... simply making parents responsible for financing their own breeding choices might shift the trend without having to resort to anything excessive. Attempts to be humane & caring seem to encourage the wrong type of attitude. Not that I want to delve deeply into the issues here, but it just seems insane to encourage a problem.
