To all my AB friends, I am sad to say we had to make the very hard decision and have Bella put to sleep this morning, she was letting us know that she was tired, so we took her to the vets, she was taken real bad in the waiting room, once in the consulting room our vet said there was nothing left to do for her, so my dear friend is now sleeping peacefully. thankyou all WHF

Bless you West Ham Fan. I know exactly how you must feel. She will always be in your heart.

Many condolences.

Love Lottie xxxx
I am so sorry to hear your news. Keep your memories of her alive and smile.
Hi .
Totally new to this site but I found it at random but instantly came across this post
Currently living in Sweden and my beautiful mate , Joey the cat , my best ever friend , great little buddy , got seriously ill and alas was put down the following day !
I loved him more than anything , I have lost a soulmate !
I am still totally devastated but this Sunday my Mother died !
Last time I spoke to her she knew my pain !
Just wanted to go home for a hug !
Now she has gone
Lost my Mum and my little mate
Too numb but I,m still standing because they would both want me to do so My Dad is a West Ham fan since a young kid , maybe you can get a seat with Bella ,s name on it !
I share your sadness , all the very best to you , may she rest in peace
So sorry to hear that, west ham fan. It is not like losing one of the family; it is losing one of the family when you lose a pet.

Are you getting another pet to replace her?
So sorry to hear about Bella. I can really say I know how you feel. When I lost Tara, this site and the good people on it were a great comfort to me. She was 15 and slowly her health deteriorated until we released her from her pain. Believe me, the pain will pass, but the memories remain.

tara
So sorry to hear that, WHF. The future looked so promising. This news is very sad. I know how you will be feeling and wish there were some words to ease the pain.

Condolences to you. x
Aww whf, I'm so sorry to hear your very sad news and empathise with how you are feeling. You will have some good memories of your darling doggie and they will soon come through and take away the sadness you're feeling at this moment. Thinking of you whf x
Just had to send you my thoughts and hugs WHF. It is coming up to a year since we lost our precious dog Jake and we are still devastated and the tears still flow! We have his ashes in a beautiful oak casket in the living room and there they will stay until we feel the need to do anything else with them.
We miss him each and every day and it was a huge, huge loss and even though we knew we did the right thing that awful, awful Saturday morning the guilt is still deep.
We were honoured to have our Jakey in our lives and will never have another dog but I know just how you are feeling right now and my heart goes out to you. X

dear AB friends and jonnyboy12, I am feeling less tearfull today, but I have kept myself very busy. People have asked if we will get another dog, but the answer to that is No. We have had 3 over the past 37 years, the first lived for 16years he was a rough collie, the second a female boxer lived till she was 10years now my little Bella 11years 4month and I realy could not go through this pain again. There is one thing I have not mentioned, but I feel that you are all my friends and I am able to open up. My husband has got Lung cancer, he has already fought and beat Bowel and Liver cancer over the last 5 years and he will be needing more care and we are both 65, so it would not be fair to take on another dog, if we are not able to give it the care and attention that we were able to give our Bella and the other 2 beautifull dogs. Mr WHF will be suffering most with out our Bella as he took her for her walks, that gave him something to live for, plus the cost of taking care of our furry friends is not cheap. We do have our moggy Whinger, but she is such an independant cat, I think it is because she was a stray, mind she is looking every where for her mate Bella. I am going to say bye for now WHF
WHF, so sorry to hear that you had to let your lovely Bella go. Hugs to you for doing the right thing for her. I know you will miss her so much, but I also know that she will forever roam in your heart, keeping you company. Best wishes to you and your family. xxx
WHF...I am so sorry to hear that on top of your loss you and Mr WHF have to contend with his illness, I do wish you both well and hope that you both cope well, especially him. I think you are right in deciding no more dogs at this time, you both need all your strength and attention in other directions and as you say, will be unable to give what you should to a new doggy. Maybe at some date hence you may well find you can, but for the time being I'm sure you have made the right decision. Take time now to care for one another and I'm sure everyone on here will wish you both well for the future you have. Take great care of yourselves. xx
Oh whf, so very sorry to hear this, very sad for you, bless her, she was obviously very tired, and as you said she's now sleeping peacefully, and you'll always have your wonderful memories of her.........
I am really moved by sjmc's post too - to lose two very close to you is a real blow. Thinking of you at this sad time, too.
For Bella, and you,whf......so sorry to hear this

Our dog mac is 9 now ,( we got him from manchester dogs home) no way am i ever going to get another like him , if i ever thought i wanted one when he goes i dont think hed ever match up to mac so it wouldnt be fair to another dog as i know id compare all the time , come the day he has to go will be devasting but at least i know in my heart hes had a great life xx
sjmc Just read your post and condolences to you too. Hope you stay with us on AB xx
jonnyboy - that is what I tell people. My furry friends weren't 'like' a member of the family - they 'were' a part of it.

sjmc - it is sad that you have lost your furry friend and also your mother. It must be hard being so far away.

whf - Whinger is an amazing name for a cat. I know that 'barmaid' has a cat called ASBO and have heard of one called Chaos. Cats are strange animals - in a nice way. I bet Whinger used to boss Bella around. My two are my babies. I would love to get another dog but ............... so many reasons not to have one.
So sorry to hear of your husband's health problems, WHF. You certainly have a lot to bear, and that's very sad. Thinking of you and sending a cyber hug. (((HUG)))

((HUG))) for you too, sjmc. A terrible time for you. Hope it helps, in some small way, to post on AB. It's a great site when you're in need of a sympathetic ear.
Haven't been on for a few days but my thoughts are with you and your family. Having been there myself I know what you are going through but time will heal. Take care x
