Dead Can Dance are sort of ethereal/tribal/folk music - they draw from traditional world music and fuse it with rhythmic beats- the kind of thing you might hear as background to dark/alternative movies or adverts. You really need to hear them to know what they're like as they're hard to classify.

If you want a good sample of their music, you could try 'A Passage In Time' which is a Greatest Hits type compilation.

In a similar vein, you might like Martin Gresch, Delerium or Clannad, perhaps?

Hope that helps.

Thank you Lyssa.

I'm already a massive Delerium fan (also Conjure One). I'd like to know what you think of Delerium. This is the type of music i'm into and i'd like to know how similar they are before buying a DCD cd. If you listen to both then a comparison would be nice. ie which Delerium album are they most similar to.

Cheers for your answer.
