Is there a separate switch that turns on the power to the water pump?
thats what i would have said----follow the mains cable running from boiler---make sure its switched on
Question Author
you mean the switch on wall next to it were i turn it on? when i turn that on thats when it makes the igniting noise, licking like its trying to come on but doesnt stop clicking as it should do
Question Author
the heating will stay on but not the hot water
is the gas valve turned on and the water valve on== on pipes under boiler ---when you turn the water you will hear it fill up---should fill only to 1 and a half bar (pressure)then turn fill valve off---but not water supply
Hi, if it hasn't worked since they were there I would tell them that you want them to come out today, not turn up after the weekend. If it was working before they came and it's not now then it is probably something that they did. If the heating works but not the hot water then I don't think there is much you could do yourself. If the pressure is low then the heating wouldn't come on either. Gas should always be left for the professionals.
