Or at least that is how I will be viewed by a large percentage of society it seems... off to the hairdressers to swap my redbrown for blonde... combine that with my cleavage my IQ will suddenly become irrelevant and I will be expected to read nothing more taxing thanOK

Any other ladies notice a difference in how you are treatedwhen blonde/brunette/redhead?

No Boxy lol, not enough hair to worry about strimming, more of a trim and a polish.
Dee Sa <<<I would love to have that bright red vegetable dye that young people have I love it, but at my age I have to stick to highlights>>>

Errr 'young people'? I'm 45 not young by any stretch of the imagination. I shall continue to have whatever colour hair takes my fancy untill there's too much grey that it won't take. The great thing about semi permanent 'vegetable dyes' is that you can pretty much chop and change the colour as the mood takes you, there's no harsh chemicals in them.
Rowan, Can't belive I'm the only one on here who has sussed the real reason for the hair do!!!! Did you get the train tickets yet?
How did it go rowan?

I'm back 4 and a half hours in the chair.... mind you it does look rather good copper blonde, with golden highlights and a fine top layer of chocolate brown that is cut to highlight the shape.... and I had change from £100 (not a lot I grant you but find another profession that would charge that for 4.5 hours work plus materials. All I hope is that when I turn up at Ynis Hir next week MHG falls at my feet and once he's over the shock whisks me away on his bike for some serious debauchery.......I'll leave Iolo for you Chaffinch he's a bit young for me... That leaves Chris for Ladybirder....

And as for age and colour if it suits your skin tone go for it.... I'm really rosy fair skinned so copper blonde looks fairly natural if a bit Celtic but my old housemate had charcoal grey flashes in her silver hair looks young and really funky shes nearly 64
Ooh! Has anyone you know seen the new you yet?
No offence meant by the way....

A blonde woman goes to a store.
She asks,"How much for this T.V?"
The owner responds, "Sorry, we dont give service to blondes."
The woman leaves and comes back with her hair dyed blue.
She asks,"How much for this T.V?"
The owner responds,"Sorry, we dont give service to blondes."
The woman leaves and comes back with her hair dyed black.
She asks,"How much is it for this T.V?"
The owner once again responds,"Sorry we dont give service to blondes."
The woman, frusterated, leaves and comes back bald.
She asks,"How much for this T.V?"
The owner responds,"Sorry, we dont give service to blondes."
The woman screams,"How do you know im blonde!!"
The owner responds,"Cause this is a Microwave."

It's great going with a new look! Makes you feel ALIVE!!

Actually Craft I agree with you I think its partly to do with how people react to you and also having a bit of light around your face is youthful ....and there is something quite nce about being blonde in that people don't seem to expect so much of you...I always seem to have more time when I'm a blonde bunny
not in my wildest dreams, didn't like punk then but did once have a nice crop, everyone thought i was a bloke, so grew it out. A nice old friend, well he's 90 told me i had nice hair, a compliment i think?
Question Author
Nothing like a bad hair day to ruin everything... so if he said you have nice hair (his generation would be cautious in their compliments ratherthaneffusive) you probably have GREAT hair
one of my few redeeming features, but i think a lady should look after her barnet, you never know when it might go. Mind the hairdressers getting a tad expensive these days, and can safely say that the pocket might not stretch if things don't improve financially. off to tea..
