Weights in the frame for opening (4) _ A _ _

One of which we have four, two at the top and two at the bottom (5) _ _ _ E _

The clues are usually a bit weird and I struggle to finish the crossword. However, managed all but these two. Any help appreciated!

SASH sounds good, don't know why I didn't think of that one.....

however, MOLAR, although sounds right, doesn't fit in with my downward clue, which I think is right. Nevertheless, I will see if I can fit it in because, I can't think of a more appropriate answer.
