Greetings all

Recently installed OpenOffice 3.3 hoping load time had improved (yeah right!!)

Oh well - will use it anyway but can anyone tell me how I can put a shortcut to OO Writer on my desktop?. I had it with previous versions but can't seem to get it right here.

Am I being particularly thick here?!

Thank you

Find the shortcut on the start menu, right click on it and select send to > desktop (create shortcut)

Thanks for reply but I think I have tried that.

I open up OO3.3 icon on my desktop which then (finally) opens up the box which displays all the OOffice programmes (text document, spreadsheet etc)

Then, logic and experience and your advice tell me, I right click on text document and........... nothing happens

?????

Am I doing this the right way? I'm pretty sure that is how I did it with my previous version - something new with 3.3?

Cheers
In windows explorer, go to C:\ Programs\Open Office\programs\Soffice.exe.
Right click on Soffice.exe and select "Send to desk top as shortcut".
I also have done this to Swriter.exe and Scalc.exe. which work OK.
You can also drag them into the quick start area.
