I cant speak to my neighbour , as it is already going through the courts about him piling earth against my gable end wall, creating a damp problem in my house. Now his 2 large trees are causing a problem. The branches have grown and are covering the windows at the front and rear of my house. The branches have covered my roof and are scraping against the house walls and roof tiles. I cannot approach him about this problem, can you offer any advice about what action I can take , as eventually his trees are going to cause some damage. Thank you.

You are allowed in law to cut off branches of trees which grow over your boundary line (as long as you give the branches back to the tree owner).. Chop 'em off.
Unless your legal beagle has said don't contact him, or you fear a reprisal, maybe a note through the door informing him of your intentions might be a good idea?
Boxtops is correct, take photos as proof then cut em down.
If you do cut some of the branches make sure you do it correctly so the tree doesn't suffer lasting harm... you only have to offer the branches back...he doesn't have to accept them

My house is on 3 floors, a lot of the branches are about 50 feet up, I cant get to them.
I am not allowed to post anything through the neighbours' door. They are a nasty family.
