Yes please! Also, like pickled beetroot with it.
good wholesome Food horseshoes but although many think it's a Welsh /Scouse dish I believe it originated in Scandinavia.
Never tried it with pickled Red Cabbage but I'm sure it tastes good.
What is lob scouse??
It's a meat based Stew with various Veg to put it simply but it is delicious. Ideal winter food.
...and leftovers always taste better after a day (or two!)
I have it with neither, though most in our office have it with cabbage. It is really popular here in the winter.
Believe it does origate from a stew the nordic sailors introduced to northern ports such as Liverpool and, because it was cheap and wholesome, became really popular with the natives.

I don't have it often but it's an old favourite from my childhood.
My mum used to make extra and use some the following day in a pie - like it was a completely different dish!
SWith for me, horseshoes, oh and a thick piece of crusty bread with lashings of 'best butter'

Takes me back, when pennies were short, we would have 'Blind' lob scouse.
