Many thanks , at the moment I would give you ecerythin I have. Ok I suffer from GORDs and have done for a few years. I take two omerprazole each morning for it. Today I started to feel very sick and had an upset stomach a few times. This afternoon my heartburn has got a lot worse so I have had some gaviscon, it didnt work. So about hour ago I had some warm water and was sick within 10 mins. it was very dark, and the last time it was red. Which I suspect was blood. should I juist leave it or phone the NHS line. As well as feeling very sick I keep getting spasms in my stomach of severe pain. Many thanks

lilac.....forget the NHS Direct line....either get into contact with your on call GP or pop into your local Casualty dept.

It could well be just the gastritis that is colouring your vomit and it probably is, but with the pains it may well be that a small ulcer is starting to bleed.

This blood with vomiting is well known as the Mallory -Weiss syndrome, but be that as it may....seek help this evening.

Hi sqad, many thanks for your help last night, it is such a shame you arent in pratice any more and live in Somerset.! Well did as you said phoned GP and was put onto out of hours doctor. I was told to see how it goes over the next few hours as a & e would be busy, saturday night.! So that is what I did. the pains subsided after I wrote to you and I wasnt sick again. Went to bed early with extra pillows. and today heartburn gone, just feel a bit off colour today,and not really hungry. Thankyou again. Your a Star.!!!!!!!! xxxx
