Hi there, I just would like to ask if I've been completely wrong about this or if the tattooist is justified ....... but..........

Over the past few weeks I've been back and fourth to a tattooist picking the perfect tattoo for myself as part of my mothers day present but having been to the tattooist to make sure I'm totally happy with what I'm getting (as he advised) I finely went there yesterday to ask him how much cash should I bring with me on the day as he did mention prices and duration to me to begin.

Anyway, just so I have enough money (as he doesn't have a card machine) I asked him how much I should bring and also how long it would roughly take as I have to sort out childcare while I'm having it done. Well the attitude there has been very hostile and VERY unwelcoming, Ive felt really intimidated there and not even been made to feel re-assured.

Well the day I went there, I noticed after I left he had put on him Facebook web page that he was peed off that 'someone' has dared to ask him price and duration of a tattoo.

I would have thought these questions I asked were quite normal things to ask, after all I am at his mercy and he could spend 2 hours doing a 1 hour job, how the hell would I know!!

He's actually really upset me airing his views so publicly and after paying my deposit, I now feel I can't go back there! I do feel so stupid now............

Honestly.................... did I deserve that? I have no idea what I really did was so bad. I'm thinking he doesn't really need new customers?

Just post that you were going to have a tattoo done but as the tattooist seemed a right t0sser you've changed your mind..................
He sounds very unprofessional, Pinky - in fact a right mumphet.

Not sure where you live, but I can recommend a very good tattooist that my son uses in the Essex area.
with that attitude imagine the mess he would make of the tattoo! a risk not worth taking.

I agree with everone else, Cancel, if you have some big burley men in your family send them round for the deposit back. It's only natural to ask how much the job will be and how long you''ll be there. He sounds nasty, especially since he's aired it on Fbook too, not professional at all.

Thanks all, had a little think about it and am definitely not going back and also had the pleasure of telling at least 3 people who were thinking of going there to not even bother. They are going elswhere!

An industry that relies on word of mouth needs to remember just that!

Yes you're probably right about the length of time, but I am quite naive to it all and even told him I was a little unsure how it all worked. I was quite honest about not knowing the process and my little tattoo I have on my back too nano-seconds and was 10 years ago lol!

I really am put off to be honest. I know most studios wouldn't behave this way but I'm just downhearted by it. Oh well.................. you live.............. you learn!
