I suggest looking on the Amazon website for the model which you might be considering buying (or something similar to it) , and then clicking on 'Reviews';

e.g. from Amazon UK:

Chris
I have one and really like it for laminate and tiles. Only disadvantage with mine is I keep having to use Viakal as it gets scaled up and I can't be bothered to buy the special water softener it needs.
They are good - but have seen one laminate floor ruined by someone using one to often and getting the boards wet
Evening anne.

I have a Hometek Steam Mop and I like it. It did a great job on the ceramic tiles in my old kitchen. They were cream coloured and a bu88er to keep clean.

It's my second one - the first blew up. I'd had it for a couple of years and had no receipt, even it if had been still under warranty.

Anyhoo, I phoned Hometek and explained what happened. Within three days they had sent me a new one, free of charge. I was very impressed.

I see Chris has provided a link.
^ that's what I've got because Mrs chappie kindly recommended it last year. Thanks Mrs C!
No use Steam Cleaners on laminated floors! Noooooo.
They're good aren't they Prudie! Especially if you have a light coloured floor (or you're a lazy bu88er like me).

:o)
It's excellent not that I use it frequently! It certainly doesn't get the floor wet enough to cause damage - just a light dampening
It's good on vinyl too. I agree with Al though, about laminate. Wouldn't like to risk it on that.
Steam Cleaners on Laminate Floor? Yo be avin a larf!!

I use one of them aerosol cleaners from homebase.

Steam cleaners are brilliant for my ceramic floors, and wonderful for wall tiles. Also great for cleaning sinks and loos and other hard services. I wouldn't use them on wood though. I wouldn't be without mine. I couldn't believe, when I first used it, how much nasty build up of cleaning fluids were removed.
I have a Karcher. Brilliant!!
