Do any of you know where this big wheel is please. I've tried googling and the ones I've found are Blackpool and Earls Court, but when I look closely the buildings in the foregrond don't look right for Earls Court and I'm not sure whether I should be able to see the tower if it was Blackpool. Any thoughts? Thank you.

I'd say defo not Blackpool on account of the difference in surrounding buildings.

Yes it is a glass paperweight. I had another on here the other day which was of Wells. I was hoping I'd find a postcard with the same photo on it, like the Wells one, but no luck. I'm still not sure where this is. It could be Earls Court, Blackpool, Southend. Oh dear.
think i'm right in saying there is one in tokyo. does that help?
This site shows the original Ferris Wheel at the Chicago World's Fair. The design of yours is very similar so it looks a quite early one.

Oh dear - this one's getting more and more difficult . I agree Scotman it is the same construction but the buildings are not right, I don't think. I would say it's Victorian/Edwardian though.
