Cirrus: Rollin' On

Does anyone remember a songcalled Rollin On by a band called Cirrus around 77/78? If it is a song I'm thinking of I really liked it when I was about 7 years old and wanted to track it down. Remember it being quite a guitary/rockish sort of song but looking in the Guiness Book of Hits, it didn't really do a lot chartwise. Does anyone know the song and what it actually sounded like?

Wasn't it used in the Yorkie bar advert?

The 7" vinyl single was produced as a brown rectangle reminiscent of a chunk of Yorkie.

i think the song you are looking for is by the steve gibbns band not cirrus i have all his albums and rollin on is one of the best if you ever come back to this page and find out i was right please let me know [email protected]

You know what Jawa? You maybe onto something there! The Cirrus thing doesn't sound like the song I was after so I think I'm gonna check your suggestion out. I don't suppose you knopw how the chorus goes? Either way, if I check it out and it turns out to be the one, will let you know !!

Hello ! - Yes I remember this very well. It was used in a TV ad for "Yorkie" chocolate bars here ( UK ) I think me and my brother were the only people to buy it ! I still have the record but no turntable to play it on. You're right, though. I was a Guitary rock country sounding track.
