Right I was scammed the other day (see other thread) or so I thought. Now I'm not so sure. Please would other people look at this site and tell me what they think. www.pcmiles.net. This is the site that the person took me to and he was trying to get me to buy the support which I refused. I did give them remote access to the computer and this is why I thought I had been scammed but looking at it now they apparently do this as part of their support? I dont know what to think now or is this whole site just fake?

I have done 3 anti spyware 'things' (sorry told you I wasnt technical) and am now unsure as to whether this is enough or I should clear everything and start again. I am now thinking though that this site wasnt actually 'scamming' me like I thought but just wanted me to pay them £200 for support that didnt exist. He did get very cross when I refused and said he would phone back and speak to my husband!
what a rude man! But why didn't you withhold your phone number?
why dont you take it into a coputer service shop and let them have a geek at it
Stop having a pop at tigwig, plenty of people have had a go at her on her first thread. I'm sure she knows now. She's just asking for help.
don't think it's as intense as ';having a pop' at her,
Tigwig stop being uncertain and take it for granted you were scammed. None of us are going to be silly enough to go on to that site or we will all be joining in the scam and probably being scammed ourselves. They would like that - a group scam!! Just do the best you can to get out from under and make sure you look after that baby. That is the importand thing at the moment.
always hang up on any type of phone sales chicanery, I turned away an aggressive oxfam person from the front door today, as he was talking he was sidling his foot to prevent me from shutting the door.

not that it worked, I took a great pleasure in ripping him to pieces on the doorstep
Cazzy, I hope you do keep a golf club handy near the door. :-)
I keep a whole set there ;)
i had a bloke round from Safestyle, today. He demanded i payed for the windows i had fitted 3 years ago.
I told him to flump off, he said the windows would pay for themselves in 5 years.
