I think I've gone deaf in my right ear.

If I block my right ear sound doesn't change, if I block my left ear I can hardly hear the tele or anything else. My right ear still has a whooshing sound, it's like being on a plane. Fed up with it now, someone said they have had the same thing for 5 years, I;ve had this for 24 hours and it's driving me nuts.

Is it acceptable?

I've been to work all day saturday , spent 8 hours manning the tills as it was valentines crazy! helped to distract me but the ear is still wooshing, if it's not stopped by Tuesday when I am off I'll get to the GP,
